@Clara that’s exactly what I thought too, because if that’s the reason I’m not catching then I’d rather seek help sooner then later like you said with the waiting lists etc. I just don’t know how to go about it at all.
I just called my GP said I’d been trying a year and nothing had happened, then they booked me in for an appointment pretty quickly tbh.
We were 27 when we approached our GP after 6 months of trying. We were listened to and both had tests carried out before being referred for IVF, in September 2023 after 2 years of trying we fell pregnant with our son just 2 months before IVF was due to start. He is now 8 months old. Definitely don’t be afraid to approach your GP and don’t give up hope x
I don’t have any advice really, but my luteal phase is consistently 10 days and I also had a chemical and since then it’s been 15 months and I’ve not had a single positive test and currently in the middle of IVF. I went to the GP when I was 27 and I felt listened to and I was referred to fertility clinic within a few months. But then again some people can conceive naturally with a 10 day luteal phase so it might happen for you just take a little more time. I guess there’s no harm going to the GP and getting in the system, as there could be a lot of waiting around. Good luck x
