I'm in for induction.

I spoke to the midwife about this yesterday, as I’d heard from some people that it ended in a c-section. She said the ones that tend to end in a c-section are ladies with a long/high cervix, or are high risk so are having the induction before 40/41 weeks. I know lots of people say different things - it’s all very confusing 😬 I’m booked in for mine tomorrow afternoon at 41wks x

I see! I literally just spoke to the doctor myself, she said also it's only a small percentage that actually end up in c section.. She was trying to make me calm down 😂 as I'm freaking out it will go bad. I'm currently 39 weeks and 4 sweeps haven't worked! I mean one did but baby is sitting comfy inside. X hope it goes well for you tomorrow x

I've been induced with 2 of my children and neither of them ended in C-section both for vaginal births and went smoothly x

I got induced with my 1st.... pessary put in at 1pm 3rd May and she was here 11.55pm 3rd May. Active labour for 2.5 hours. Had my 2nd naturally in November just gone and would pick induction any day!!!!. Was much quicker for me and less painful x

I've had 2 inductions 1st with my 14 year old it was perfect went in in the morning had a pessary wait a few hours then had my waters broken was put on a drip she was born the same day was in labour for an hour my 2nd induction was with my 6 year old took a few days to get going had the pessary waited nothing happened had a 24 hour break another pessary again not much happening another 24 hour break they broke my waters on day 4 was put on a drip she was born that day after a 6 hour labour hope everything goes well for you x

Thank you guys I'm glad it worked out for all of you. They put medication now, I suddenly got a headache from it 😣 hope that isn't a bad sign! I'm so nervous but can't wait to see baby x

I had the gel for induction, it ramped up my labour very quickly! In fact 19 minutes after I'd been induced i got to meet my little boy! I was worried about being induced but had no choice as my waters had broken 24hrs earlier. But honestly it helped to speed things up which was so nice!
