I hate you PCOS
Iv been living with PCOS for 9/10 years I was diagnosed aged 20/21 I suffer from all kind of symptoms, painful periods, infertility, depression, tiredness, fluctuating weight & Thinning hair. When I was first diagnosed my periods were all over the place sometimes I could go 6 months without a single period. Over the years Iv done so much research and started taking vitamins that helped me get my periods back, I now have periods monthly and usually have a cycle of around 28-30 days.
Myself and my husband have been trying for a baby for quite a few years now we lost our son in 2022 (still born) then miscarried a year later
I recently found out I was pregnant and 2 days later started bleeding very heavily with pain, pregnancy tests then became negative.
Recently Iv found some of my notes and found doctors mentioned I have low quality eggs? I’m wondering if this might be the reasoning behind my miscarriages? Is there anything I can do to improve egg quality? Have you tried anything for yourself? Did it work?
I just want to be a mum 😭
I would argue PCOS doesn’t necessarily affect a pregnancy outcome once you are pregnant? I was first diagnosed at 17, did nothing to monitor/control it other than taking the pill. I would say I don’t have the healthiest diet and have had periods where I’ve been quite inactive. I had 3 live births in 2020, 2022, and 2024. I would think you would need to take this information re: egg quality to a fertility specialist and see what they have to say. IVF route?
