It sounds like he is already way ‘ahead’ rather than being behind!!! People seem to remember everything so wrongly from when their kids were small!
@CeeCee according to my SIL her Son spoke at 3 months 🤣 and my husband who was there said, BS, he was just making noises and babbling and spoke late in reality. Unsure how people remember like 17 years later. My daughter was an early talker and asking questions at 16 months which kids usually ask questions a bit later on but if I hadn't noted this down I wouldn't have even remembered. I'm doing the best I can to encourage my baby, there isn't more that I can do.
My baby’s off to Oxford next week actually 🤡 For us it was ‘well my boys slept through from the second night after coming home from hospital’ like thats developmentally inappropriate 🫠🫠🫠 Also were they sleeping or did you have them in their own room with no monitor. Cant cope! Rose tinted glasses I think, as you said- how could you remember!
@CeeCee you are right developmentally baby should wake up every 3 hours to feed in first few weeks not sleep through. If it wasn't for noting in things like babys redbook I wouldn't have a clue especially with baby brain.
Every baby goes at different paces My first born daughter who is now almost 3 started walking at 9 months Meanwhile my son who just turned 1 (also born last January) hasn’t started walking yet but he babbles and says phrases. Your in laws may have forgotten the timeline at which children progress.. don’t let it get to you. As long as baby is meeting all milestones and eating he’s fine
