They told me there’s no nerve endings and they cry from being restricted and the weird sensation more than anything
My son was fine after had a bottle almost straight away and seemed to enjoy being able to feed freely and move his tongue. He’s 10 now he does have a slight lisp bless him but isnt majorly noticeable x
My little one had his tongue tie cut at 2 weeks old, he cried for a second and then fell asleep instantly (was definitely more upsetting for me than him) took him a few days to figure out how to suck properly on the bottle after but he didn't have any problems and after the initial teeny bit of blood we barely noticed anything, his suckling and how he drank afterwards was really obviously better as wasn't taking in as much air, the Dr's just told us to monitor for any sign of a fever over the next 3-5 days and stop him from putting his hands in his mouth or kissing him or letting anyone kiss him on his face for a week or two to reduce chance of infection
my daughter got her tongue tie cut when she was 6 months old. Of course, she cried during the procedure but afterwards she went to sleep and was fine but the time she woke up.
