I’d say it’s more about how often you think you’ll actually go. How many times do you need to go to actually save money? How easy is it to go there by yourself with 2 kids? Will it be appealing to go to the same zoo that many times or more per year? Or will you want to go twice and then spend the money on other attractions?
Zoo pass renew year long. I personally prefer not to go during winter because there’s not much you can actually do outdoors and with having multiple kids it gets stressful having to pack extra stuff to keep them warm. I rather go when the weather is suitable and not many layers needed. Worth wise. Do your math and see if what you’ll pay for the admission and parking with membership is less than the times you’ll plan to go. Also some zoos have classes and you get discount if you are a member so take in consideration if you plan to sign up for such classes/programs too.
Our zoo has multiple indoor attractions like the aquarium that we just utilize more on cold winter days or hot summer days.
The pass is usually worth 3 trips. So if you go 3 or more trips during the YEAR, then yes it’s worth it. If you go every school holidays or more, it’s worth it. And because you have a pass, knowing you can get in for free anytime, you can go more often in seasons of nicer weather.
How much is the pass vs how much is a daily pass? If you’d go to the zoo multiple times to the point that it would be cheaper to get the annual, definitely get the annual. We love our zoo pass
We have an unlimited zoo pass and we use it pretty often, regardless of weather.
I know you’re not in the UK but there are a few zoos here that you pay once and can go again for the whole year for free. I think it’s a great idea. Wrap up warm and get out and about. There’s always different things to see with the seasons so is good fun and good exercise if you have an active kid.
