36 weeks and feeling SO low

I’m not sure what’s changed recently but I’m just feeling so low and down these past few days. I’m super anxious all of a sudden (jaw hurts from clenching it, heart is racing, can’t stop thinking about everything and can’t switch off). I’m super emotional (I cleaned the kitchen at the weekend and just cried whilst mopping the floors 😂). I’m really trying to do things to improve my mood but I just can’t get out of this feeling 😩. I know hormones are high etc but I thought with the lows would come the highs and I’m not getting those. I’m still working and that’s super busy and a stress I don’t need but can’t do much about that until I officially finish for Mat leave. Everything is just overwhelming me at the moment - does anyone else feel this way or do you have any tips to lift your mood? ☹️

I would mention it to your midwife - I was feeling like this and overwhelmed by everything and lots of work stress to ,so finished work earlier at 34 weeks instead of my planned 37 weeks at the beginning of Feb and I feel much better . I understand this isn’t a possibility to finish early for lots of people but maybe asked about reasonable adjustments or reduction in hours/ workload to see if it helps. I’d literally cry dropping a pen on the floor or the phone ringing again. I also got pregnancy massage and a pamper which improved my mood a little

I’m finishing at 37 weeks (I do work from home 4 days and go in 1-2 days), but even still the work stress doesn’t really let up because you’re pregnant, and in hindsight it would have been good to finish a week earlier but I’m nearly there no so may as well push on. I have asked to only go in 1 day next week which will help as I travel 1.5hrs each way to the office which isn’t ideal either. I can totally relate to the crying over things like that though! Glad you found a way to feel better. My sister is coming next weekend and used to be a massage therapist maybe I can see if she’ll do me a favour as that does sound lovely! Got so many more aches and pains this pregnancy compared to my first 🙈
