@Zoe by washing our hands / hand sanitizer, rub it right onto the areas. Not letting her have a bottle for at least half hour after to allow it to work. So we apply it after a bottle so she’s not hungry for one
Ah ok, just because we've just been going through the same scenario, she had three bottles of nystan and they said to put half a ml in each side of her cheeks and that didn't work, went back the third time for a fourth bottle and because I'm breastfeeding she prescribed me fluconazole for two weeks and nystan for my little one again and said this time do it with your finger on the areas she had it and it worked for us luckily 🤞🤞 but what she did say was that a paediatrician can prescribe liquid fluconazole for little one if you've done everything possible to try and treat it and it's still there, so she said we will swab it just so if it's still there then you have the confirmed swab and then we can refer to a paediatrician and they could prescribe the fluconazole, the Dr said the reason they don't do this straight away us because it's expensive, maybe that's worth asking?
I went doctors and one quick look and was already prescribed nystan - my baby is a happy baby and I thought it was just a formula not anything alarming - what are some signs, are babies in discomfort or anything ? Apologies not related to your question but would help - thanks!
Having the same issue, they gave us nystatin it didn’t clear it, so they gave us something else but turns out that’s discontinued and the doctors didn’t know the pharmacy anywhere don’t stock it! So we got our back on nystatin which again hasn’t cleaned it so now they’ve jsut said there’s nothing else they can do and it’ll clean on its own- had it since 1 week and he’s now 10 weeks :(
Can I ask how you applied the nystan to their mouth? X
