How have you tried so far? I haven’t pumped for a week now after exclusively pumping and it’s bliss 😍 I was pumping 5x a day so I dropped a pump each week till I got to just pumping first thing and last thing at night, I then dropped my last pump as night first as I was starting to barely get anything then kept my morning pump until I was barely getting anything again then dropped that I have had a few leaks/ one of my boobs does feel a like there’s some milk in there sometimes but I’ve just hand expressed a little off if it’s felt too much 🤞🏻 you can stop soon

Are you trying to stop cold turkey? I would drop one feed a week for a few weeks if you can manage

@ToniI am currently pumping 2-3 times a day, however this week I have gone done to 2 pumps a day (morning and night). Baby doesn’t really feed off the breast during the day but he likes to breastfeed for comfort in the middle of the night. How long did it take for it to stop completely

@Victoria yes I also tried ti go cold turkey but it was so painful and I had to pump. So I have dropped from 3 pumps to 2 pumps but I tried to go cold turkey and my boobs was so engorged

Well I’m still feeling it a little now after last pumping last Friday morning but I read it can take a few weeks even after you stop ‘stimulation’ for us to stop actually producing milk so I’m just trying my hardest to not even hand express now. As for my milk reducing when I was pumping it didn’t take long for me maybe a week or two but I guess it depends how much you produce anyway and then if little one is still feeding through the night from you I think that will keep you producing as that’s when you produce most isn’t it through the night so I would think if you want to stop completely you deffo need to try formula/ a dummy through the night see if that helps

Maybe keep dropping a feed/pump and once every few days or once a week, try and do it slowly if you can!

@Toni you are right it is the night feeding that’s probably still increasing my supply. I am going to look into a dummy for him and try. Is there any specific brand you would recommend. I will try pumping twice a day for maybe a week or 2 and go down to one, hopefully that reduces and stop me producing 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@Victoria I’ll pump twice a day for a week and move to once a day next week. Also like I mentioned to Toni, he doesn’t really breast feed during the day but it is the middle of the night comfort.

I don't pump but combi feed with formula but finding it so hard to stop I tried to add an extra bottle in to start but he still just wants boob constantly so I cut it out again as he also stopped eating any food. I just feel so stuck!
