Elevated sleeping

Hi there. My 9.5mo has gotten his first cold and congestion. I rolled a towel under the head on the bed for slight elevation. Will this be okay? So far this seems to be the comfiest he's been sleeping all stuffed up. Has anyone done this to help their LO? I've been reading mixed reviews on this and need some sense of relief everything will be okay while he's asleep tonight.

We haven't used a towel, but we have used a pillow to prop up our baby to help with congestion. We only did it when he slept with us though. If using a towel in his crib, maybe putting it under the sheet will help? That way if it unrolls, it's under the sheet and less likely to get in his face

@Veronica thank you. I rolled it up and put it on the very edge of the mattress and it's not majorly inclined

We put a flat pillow that I had under the mattress to elevate it that way there was nothing in the crib to cause an issue for her. She’s gotten her first cold this past week as well! Its not fun. The elevating seemed to really help her cough along with the cool mist humidifier by the crib. We also did one of those saline inhalers several times a day too

Early on our pediatrician advised us to slightly elevate our girl's bassinet to help with her acid reflux, we used a couple books
