Perianal abscess
Hello, just wondering if anyone has had anything similar. My LO has a perianal abscess which the doctors have said is now a fistula-in-ano. Has anyone else’s little one had this and it healed naturally or was the surgery required?
Just a worried mum at the moment 😩

@Chichi was it draining itself? His keeps resurfacing and popping, really hoping it heals itself without surgery.
Yes it was but I had to go to the doctor when it popped twice to get it fully drained

My child hasn’t had one before but I’ve had one before . I didn’t have to get the surgery. It was painful but after they drained it I just always try to keep that area dry to keep it from coming back
