I was pushed to start right away them learned i should've waited 6 weeks

Never still exclusively breastfeeding while weaning 7 months in 😊

I've had to start pumping already because my little girl has been in the NICU and latching was difficult for the first couple days and I needed to establish my milk supply. She's 5 days old.

My first baby I started at 6 weeks. With my 2nd baby I started about 2-3 weeks pp. just bc I don’t produce much and I wanted to get a head start on saving milk for work.

Baby had a shallow latch so I started pumping when she was 24hrs old.

Never bothered

I just did hakka on the opposite boob while feeding but only for a small part of the feed cause my boobs were really engorged so it was just to take the pressure off a bit before moving baby to the opposite side. She wouldn't latch properly when the boobs were too full. So I'd do like, 10 mins hakka while feeding the otherside, then keep baby on the same side for another 10 mins, and then switch sides for baby and not bother with hakka on the other side, if that makes sense? Didn't do any electric pumping until after 6 weeks as advised and didn't really do much cause it was too much work washing pump parts and stuff when I was already EFB alot of the time

I started pumping when I got home from the hospital

Why do you want to pump? Depending on that answer the suggestion probably changes… Breastfeeding takes at least six weeks to establish; you need to learn to work together and milk supply stabilizes I did it a few times when she slept too long or similar but only gave a bottle once to my 5M old

after a couple weeks but i wish i waited

I was advised to wait 4-6 weeks by a lactation specialist , I felt comfortable at 4 weeks and my baby had no issues since
