Yoto player / Tonibox

Are these worth it for this age? I’m unsure if my boy would have the attention span to sit and listen to a full story instead of continuously taking the cards in and out.. also worry he’d throw it on the floor at some point and break it. Curious to hear other people’s experiences? Wondering if it would be a good thing to keep him busy after early morning wake ups

We have a tonies box. Had it since last August and she loves it! She uses it all the time if we're upstairs. We put a book on at bedtime and she falls asleep listening to it. She's never thrown it or really even moved it as we keep it on the stand, unless we take it downstairs for her or when we are travelling. She loves all the characters and choosing a new one! I think it's great ! She does change the characters during the day between dance ones and stuff but at nighttime she just chills out and listens x

We’ve had the tonie box since 1st Christmas. It’s been used every bedtime since she was about 18mths and nap time. When she plays upstairs she puts it on. It’s very durable! We have it up in her bedroom wall on a house stand that holds all her figures. We read books in the daytime because she does not like being read to at sleep time but she does love her Tonie box. Wouldn’t be without it

We have the yoto mini because it was the cheapest option! I also thought he would be slightly young but didn't want to wait all the way until his birthday so got it for Christmas. He LOVES it! We listen to stories he already knows (Gruffalo, Bing) and he sits for ages. He does take the cards in and out and press the buttons which disrupts the story but we just leave him to it and he's learning not to do that if he wants to listen! He is as engaged with it as when he is listening to us read, or watching the tv. He doesn't throw it, but if he did its pretty small and robust I think it would be fine!

My little boy doesn’t listen to the whole Story but he still likes them, especially the ones with songs !

I would definitely recommended a Tonie box. My LO has had one since last Christmas. At first I was unsure that it would be worth as they are expensive and my son never stops moving, but he loves them and all the characters. He also weirdly is never rough with it (throws almost everything else). Really good way to avoid/cut down on screen time too!
