3 stone heavier this pregnancy

I weigh around 21 st. I know it’s a lot and I’m pregnant with baby number 2. I’m scared. I’m worried my weight and being pregnant will impact my health. Or midwife’s will be horrible. Any advice ?

They shouldn’t be horrible! I was the same. No advice given but I didn’t feel hungry so didn’t gain any weight in pregnancy. You’ll be high risk but that won’t be any different than before.

I’m around the same for my second pregnancy as well. I can’t say that I’ve experienced anybody being horrible to me. I know that it could be different when giving birth because I’ve had horrible nurses before but just make sure you find the right hospital for you.

Thanks so much guys xxx

I’m also high BMI and was scared going into this as my first pregnancy. I can honestly say other than at my booking appointment where I was weighed, my weight has never been brought up and I’m yet to be weighed again (almost 35w now). There’s been no judgement, no issues with scans etc, just have to have growth scans, take baby asprin/higher dose of vitamins and my care is consultant led rather than midwife led x
