I loved by IUD before pregnancy, but we needed IVF to get pregnant in the first place, so BC now seems really pointless for us 😅
@Alyssa ooh I think that’s messing with fire, girl. Women get pregnant when they think it’s not going to happen. And I know so many women who struggled getting pregnant the first time and easily (and quickly) got pregnant the second time.
I’ve had almost every thing but the depo shot thank goodness because there’s lawsuits on it now. The IUD insertion is very painful and I bled a lot I was in bed for a week but it had few side effects after. My favorite I’m going to ask to go back on is the Nuva ring. It looks almost like a small glow stick bracelet and you insert it like a menstrual cup and only take it out for up to 2 hours for sex. You replace it every 30 days. You honestly forget it’s there. It’s the only one that didn’t mess with my hormones terribly other than the IUD.
I really liked low estrogen dosed birth control (Loloestrin Fe was what I was on but got really expensive when I lost insurance). There are likely others similar now and I’ve heard other people liked it too. When I went off of it, I did really well with just tracking my cycles consistently with the clue app, but I know that can be a pain
After my first I got the kyleena IUD and loved it. Had like 2 periods in the beginning but then they stopped for like 3 years until I got it out. Got pregnant 6 months later as planned 🤷♀️ perfect experience. Plan to get an IUD again after this baby
