Mine has been the same and it's infected. Best get it checked out by doctor in case you need some antibiotics.
Mine was the same and instead of antibiotics because I was feeling fine in myself and that was the only symptom I was prescribed medical honey which worked so well!

It was still an infection but my body was mostly fighting it, they did a swab to confirm this and the prescribed the medi honey and I used that for just over a week and now it has completely healed
I didn't have any other symptoms other than a few slight twinges, but I have a toddler too so not much time to rest and heal! Now on my 3rd lot of antibiotics, hopefully it'll heal soon.
In that case I would call the GP and asked for someone to look at it.
Did they check it at your 6to 8 weeks check up?
