@Elizabeth same thing with my 18 month old. The doctor made a follow up for 2 months later though to see how he is doing in speech. He still put in the speech therapy referral though
We don't have a follow up scheduled , but I will honestly still look into the referrals and doing the intake for them 🫤
We did an early intervention assessment because my son isn’t talking yet (he babbles and grunts a lot and says “mama” & “go”) he did not qualify for speech therapy and is considered to not have any developmental delays at this time because he is using 6 words in sign language consistently and scored above average for receptive language. 🤷🏼♀️ they said to keep working with him and get him around other kids more.
mines got approved Speech therapy twice a week For an hour🩷
We got referrals to speech and PT at his 18 months visit because he's more babble y than actually saying words.... And he's also not walking unassisted yet 🫤
