Depends on the date of your payment. During public holidays like Xmas it could have been paid in earlier so if then delays it in January -possibly

Could the dad have claimed for them also? I've seen it a few times that if the other parent puts a claim in that they won't pay it until it's been investigated as only 1 person cam claim it.
