Sleep routine tips/advice

My little boy’s sleep routine is really bad, if he goes to bed at 7/8pm he is guaranteed to wake up during the night and is awake for hours even with the lights off.. Once he does fall asleep he won’t wake up until late morning or midday the next day unless I wake him earlier.. Any advice?

Wake at a consistent time every day regardless of how the night before was. You need to regulate their circadian rhythm which won’t be happening if you’re letting them lie in until midday and so the cycle of bad sleep will continue x

In a similar position to you, but struggling to get my boy to go to bed at night currently. I start his bedtime routine at 7pm, sometimes it takes 2 hours before he's asleep. He wakes up in the night every night for a bottle of milk too and still gets up at 6 regardless of how much sleep he's had! It's exhausting. He only has one nap a day for around an hour and a half x

I do the three Bs before bed. Bath, bottle, bed. My little boy has one nap a day 11-11:30 to about 1-2 depending how he feels throughout the day we are constantly doing something to keep him active. Once 5 comes its calm down time, with dinner, little snack. Then bath, bottle in bed and bed for 7 xx

Thanks for all the comments. I’m going to give it a good try again with changes to his routine. Even though I was extremely tired from last night we woke up at 9:30am this morning which is earlier then most days (will hopefully make it earlier eventually), and he’s down for a nap now at 1pm which I plan to not let it be anymore then 30-45mins.. We will see how this evening goes but I plan to start his ‘wind-down’ time from about 5/6pm and do the three B’s 😅😂 x
