Yes she eats loads, she has 3 meals and snacks and I give a banana an hour before bed she’ll also have a bottle of milk to go to bed with. I did try that once and she just stands up screaming milk, so I give it so I can go back to keep as I’m so exhausted. It’s been like this since Friday last week, usually she’ll only have one bottle half way through, but last night she had 4 7 ounce bottles and wee all through the bed 😭 and also she has a tendency to pour bottles upside down and soak the bed so I just don’t really know what to do…
Maybe it's a growth thing? Or teething so seeking comfort? Maybe go to a local hub if youve got them by you and speak to a health visitor and see what they can suggest?
My daughter started doing this just before Christmas, I feel your pain!! One night I think she had near enough 4 bottles of milk and I was like nope this isn't happening again. So started giving her supper, mostly a big bowl of porridge just before bed. Then do bedtime routine as normal, except save some of her milk she has with a story for when she went to her cot then give her the last bit in bed and told her milk gone, letting her put the lid on. After a night or 2 of constantly lying her down for an hour, she soon learnt she wasn't getting any more milk and this has been the best thing. She doesn't have supper now unless she hasn't eaten much for tea! We guessed she was going through like a growth spurt or something x
My daughter is the same its driving me nuts. Shes always been like this tho. I am constant knackered because of the night time . Tried water tried saying theres no bobo . Nothing works. Xxd
We are the same. I tried supper and everything. I don't bed milk In his tum tum after tea so he just walks about with it. But he wants one at night still. I am watering it down as he can sleep all night it's just habit. X
Yes I think it’s a phase! We are in this atm - I posted something on the group the other day and everyone said the same! Exhausting isn’t it! X
Thst sounds hard. Is she eating enough during the day with snacks? As their food gives them more nutrients than milk and fills them. What about offering water during the night incase she's thirsty but knows how to say milk? If it's just water she's getting she will get the hint she's not going to get milk and hopefully stop waking and demanding it.
