Just do a test to check and depending on the result you can then resume your birth control after if that’s what you want

I have been on the depo shot for three years and your chances of being pregnant depend on how long you’ve been on it consistently. I’ve been on it consistently for 3 years and my dr told me I’m “clinically infertile” meaning I would have to get off my depo for about 1-2 years to let my body restart the ovulation process before trying to have children again but I also had a friend that was on it for a year and still conceived her son. This is not as common of knowledge as it should be so do not worry these are good questions to ask

@Sierra i was on the shot for about 6 months before i had missed my appointment . i seem to have forgotten to mention that part in the original post, but i was due to get it around the end of the 6th month, so not very long. i might still try to get a test, im not sure when to test exactly, but thank you for your help, i truly do appreciate it

The shot sucks. I’ve heard a lot of people getting pregnant on it. It also made me bleed for 3 months straight so I got off of it.

Thats way to soon to tell if ur pregnant or not. Take a plan B if ur worried. u have 72 hrs after unprotected sex to take it. And yes u can still get pregnant off the shot
