Have you shown them the video?
I hate to worry you further and have no experience with this at all, I’ve only had one child a couple years ago and expecting my second a week from now - this would worry me sick with my newborn! It just sounds distressing so I would get a second opinion just in case! Hope it’s nothing ♥️
My little one does the same , he’s a week and 2 days old , he also sounds quite conjested but he seems fine xx
Thank you we are going to a&e this morning. He seems slightly congested in his nose so I wonder if he’s also developing a cold 😢. It’s so stressful especially only a week old 😫
@Jessica let me know if anything’s wrong , I didn’t worry to much about it but after seeing this don’t know if I should be 😔x
Sounds like Laryngomalacia. It’s where she has a loose larynx, the hospital need to look down her throat, mention it to them. They grow out of it x
My son was 6 weeks premature and made these sounds alllllll the time! For him they said it was just because his airways were so small and just needed more time to develop
Im sure my eldest used to do this. She was 3 weeks early and also a very congested baby but I would absolutely get it checked out just incase there is anything wrong :)
My son does the same and is 11 days old.
It could be silent reflux where there’s too much mucus and he’s struggling with each breathe. I have to hold my girl at an angle and she loves sleeping in her boppy newborn snuggle since it’s inclined. Of course I’m always watching her.
Mine does this all the time I didn’t realise it was worrying 😬. 5 weeks
They suspect Laryngomalacia. They’re happy with his observations and feeding that they don’t wish to put him through the invasiveness of having a camera down his throat as he’s so little and are happy with his obs. But if things change for the worse we will have to go back and have the procedure done. At the moment it’s not effecting his breathing or anything and is quite mild! Said as he gets older he will get stronger with it x
Omg no I’m a ftm and not 100 percent sure but that does not sound good/normal you should get 2/3 doctor opinions
