Yes, with supervision. We use open cups for meals and straw cups in between. We switched to metal cutlery a few months back as she got so frustrated with the plastic ones.
I am going to go out and get him better cutlery and bowls, I think because he isn’t great with the plastic ones I haven’t thought about swapping them but he might do better with the metal ones
I started open cup drinking today as it’s one of nursery’s learning skills so hopefully eventually he gets the hang of it
@Amy they just stab so much better! Can’t pick up much with a plastic fork with the force a toddler can put into it, more often than not she was just pinging the food into the floor by accident. Good luck :)
Yes - have only ever used open cups though as he couldn’t handle the flow of the valve free beakers. I started him with the dinky cup and now he’ll use either that or the doidy cup. He does really well tbh x
Yes my son can drink from a cup. We use the doidy cup. He uses both plastic and metal cutlery. The metal forks are easier to pick up stuff like pasta
