I am a wfh mum and also do 4 hours on phones a day. I have noice cancelling headphones and tbh my little girl is so good obviously has her days. I just put a load of toys on the phone and when she starts getting fussy I will put Mrs Rachel on she is a life saver. But I have had time where she has started crying while on phone but my work understands that and I had had to hung up on customers mind call but unfortunately that can’t be helped. Some times I will just quickily pick her up and then she’s fine and I can carry on. So customers notice and say oh you working from home and have been absolutely fine. I wouldn’t worry you will be fine. You got this 💪🏼
Ah @Ashleigh thankyou so much for this. I don't expect it to be easy but aslong as it's doable! My girl is also super chill so I'm sure she'll be fine. She's fine whilst she's this young and stationary anyway, I guess our next challenge will be when they're on the move! But thankyou you've filled me with hope lol x
P.s @Ashleigh if you have a link to the headset you use I'd be grateful! I have the headset work has given me which are OK, but want to upgrade them to put my mind at ease x
Yes of course. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jabra-Evolve2-Headset-Cancelling-USB/dp/B086H56JDY/ref=asc_df_B086H56JDY?mcid=9a297507a2a938d9b444d2434a860717&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=697294451660&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3509176155239085234&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046209&hvtargid=pla-910197386805&psc=1&gad_source=1 My company paid these for everyone at work. I know there a lot just for headphone, there’s probably cheaper ones out there. Best of luck 🤞🏼
That's annoying. My SIL had her daughter home one day a week whilst working and finds it very difficult to work, doesn't get anything done and although you can put on TV / film and lay toys out she would be like mummy play with me and would get upset and she'd feel guilty not giving them attention as they could need it any time especially if unwell. I originally had the idea in mind to save on childcare but know it will be impossible to work and she won't get the attention she needs. If your partner definitely will be around whilst your working or if slight crossover then you could make it work with TV/Toys or a activity that would keep her busy and not require 100% supervision
