midwife / health visitor appointments at home
hey everyone. when did you all have your midwife or health visitor come to your house? i’ve had some people say before birth ( around 32 weeks) and some say not till the day after baby is born but they are in different areas so just wondered if anyone knew what stevenage done?

I didn’t have a health visitor until baby was around 10 days old, we had community midwife visits x3 in the first week at home x
I live in Stevenage and for me the Midwife came to my house when baby was 5 days old for the 5 day weigh in and then I got a call to tell me when the HV was going to come visit me which was about 2 weeks later. I only had about 2/3 visits from the midwife and 2/3 visits from the health visitor. I had no visits from the health visitor before baby was born

Antenatal usually from 28 weeks they can come, introduce themselves and the service to you - make sure you’re preparing well for baby and signpost you to any services you might need. Then they return between day 10-14 of babies life for the new birth visit. Coming to see you antenatally is down to if there’s enough staff to do it essentially
