I have but then again I speak to others and I know we are not alone. As long as youāve checked everything off the list. Iron supplements, magnesium, enough day sleep, not too much day sleep, not too cold, not too hot, mouth breathing etc. then I guess youāre left with a child who just needs support to fall back asleep! Have you ever had any different nights? Even a one off with three wakes rather than four?
Ps sending you love. The exhaustion is real.
Also, did you have a stressful pregnancy at all? Traumatic birth?
@Chloe itās just good to know weāre not alone! Iām sorry youāre going through it too, it is so hard! Xx
@Kristine youāre right, I do know some others who are still going through it too, so Iām sure it is more normal than people would have you believe. I think I need to try her with iron again, but she has HATED the iron supplements Iāve tried so far. Iāve recently been trialling less night sleep but Iām not convinced it was making as much difference as I thought, and she did seem more tired through the day! To be honest, because we co sleep, Iām not aware of exactly how many wakes it is. She almost always wakes an hour and then two hours after she goes to sleep, and then she will wake overnight at least once and then in the morning before wake time that I can remember. Iād be so interested in seeing how many times it actually was if I put a camera up to record it! But in answer to your question, I canāt remember nights that were better than 4 times, maybe a few here and there.
@Kristine My birth on paper was traumatic, lost a lot of blood, went on antibiotics drip because they thought I might have an infection, but actually I felt okay about it. And I was very sick through pregnancy, can that have an effect on sleep? Sending you love too, it is so hard!
Yep exactly the same here. Feel like Iāve exhausted every possibility! It is frustrating though and still a bit nerve wrecking to think there could be an underlying cause to the waking. It is tough!! Xx
