Travel Help

I am traveling for the first time with my 3 month old next month. I'm super nervous cause its his first flight and its gonna be about 3 hours long. I want to avoid those judgmental stares and complaints. Any suggestions on how to make it easier for him and me?

Feed him right on take off to help with ear popping and hope he’ll nap! Bring crinkle toys for distraction. I brought my boppy to use as a sleep pillow and it worked great

Just wanted to say that I’m traveling tomorrow with my 3 month old too 🥹

thank you! Did they charge you an extra fee to have the boppy?

I used to think it was good to board early when they call for families with young children, but then you might be sitting there 20 minutes waiting for others to board. I'd wait to board to avoid that.

Are you bringing a car seat? We like to check ours at the counter so we don't have to carry it around, but you can also check it at the gate and get it back when you land. Both ways are free.

I second feeding during take off and landing to avoid ears popping.

they didn’t charge me extra when I brought my hoppy on the plane.

Check with the carrier to see their rules for flying with an infant. When I flew I got to bring the diaper bag and it didn’t count towards my check bag. If you are using formula, you can take water through with you through TSA.

how do you have to pack the water for it to not be “suspicious ”

Has anyone tried the baby earphones?

Yes. We got them to bring them to a wedding. Don’t know if they would be super useful on a plane
