Labor and delivery question

When did you guys find out if you were getting induced? I have an appt later today and was wondering if they will let me know today or wait. I’m 21 weeks and 4 days. I wanna let my job know all the details asap so I don’t have to go back and let them know if any dates changed. I have GD and have had it with my first kid and got induced at 37 weeks but was only told a day prior because baby was big at the time. I really don’t want a last minute induction like that time when I plan on taking 4 weeks off before my due date.

I’m in a similar boat. I am 23 weeks this week and I would like to be able to better plan my leave. I have Gestational diabetes and mild hypertension so they said 37-39 weeks when I was initially diagnosed with GD but not a word since. I asked and they said they like to see how everything goes before making an official recommendation and setting a date but it makes it difficult lol

@Samantha I’m definitely gonna ask today and let them know my concerns. Hopefully they at least tell me before 28 weeks so I can have everything ready. I don’t like being unprepared 😅

I’m 25w5d and at my anatomy scan my high risk doctor said baby isn’t going to be born on due date which is May 2. She said 39 weeks. But didn’t confirm any dates yet. I have my glucose scheduled for the first week of February. This is my first baby and I’ve been thinking about this also and been just going with the flow of everything. I think I’m going to ask her for more details to be clear for my planning as well. I would say maybe ask your doctors also for better clarification on what they plan on doing. Time is slowly passing by quickly and we all need to be prepared.

@Karoline I know! I think about it every day like wow I only have so many months left. I need to start preparing before I start scrambling all over the place lol

I got told with a 24 hour notice. Was told at 37 weeks and had her at 37 +2
