Sorry to hear that but very glad they caught it! What were your symptoms/how did they diagnose it? My GP mentioned it as I have very bad breathlessness (but no other symptoms)
@Julia I’ve been having shortness of breath and tired legs but never associated with anything because my midwife does a really poor job even tho I am at risk of blood clots due to genetics. So Monday I started to have this sharp pain on my chest and just called the midwife’s triage just in case, told to go to A&E and then they found it out
@Denise that sounds really good! I’m doing it on my bump but sometimes feels a bit stiff Thank you 🤍
Thanks for the response. Did they diagnose it with a CT?
@Julia yes and with blood tests (white blood cells count & d dimers)
I had a pulmonary embolism in the past. We are lucky to be alive! I hope you are ok. I take Clexane every day too. After taking it for 4 years I find that if you put ice before and inject the Clexane very very slowly it doesn’t hurt or bruise. I do it under my arm because it’s softer fat than belly and it barely hurts!!
