Advice regarding this!!!

So my baby will be 2.5 months now. Off late we have been noticing this on her, as you can see the cloth that was covering it has become yellow due to the fluid it was leaking. Any ideas what it could be? If any of your kids had it and did you do anything for it? We have a GP appointment for tomorrow but that’s the earliest we could get, so any and all advice is really appreciated as I’m getting quite worried about it

Id maybe put some Neosporin or some kind of thing to protect it. We have the Earth mama diaper balm stuff that we can use for multiple things so we would put that on there. And maybe a bandaid to be able to block stuff from touching it. It could just be raw

I would maybe do a bath with mild soap and then cover it with Aquaphor until the appointment I’m curious what it is when you find out.

if you or anyone you know that has breast milk i would apply that on there as much as possible or bath her in it as well

In all honesty I’d go straight to the hospital and not wait until tomorrow incase of infection

That looks like an infection if it’s oozing yellow… Best to take little one to Children’s Hospital & take no chances. Wishing you the best 🫶🏻

@Tiggy’s Mummy I completely agree. The yellow looks like pus which is common for an Infection. It looks as if the skin has blistered as a reaction to something and then popped. I would definitely get her to pediatrics ASAP as I would be very concerned about septic shock and whatever caused the blistered skin in the first place.

Thanks you guys! We took her to the A&E and turns out it’s an eczema flare up! I’m upset that my little one has that but I’m gonna do everything to keep her okayyy!!

I’m glad you now know what it is. Hope she feels better soon and the eczema clears up soon x

Thanks @Danielle , I hope so too! In the meanwhile please mamas shoot on any advice you would have for eczema ☺️

My little one has mild eczema and very dry skin especially on her face. Doctor gave apro derm cream and made it worse so I asked some mamas on here for help. I was recommended aveeno baby cream and kokoso baby coconut oil. I haven’t tried the aveeno yet but have used the kokoso oil on her face and in her hair/scalp and has worked wonders for us x

My baby have eczema, I used soap that is for sensitive skin and put cream, I used MooGoo eczema & psoriasis cream whenever she have it. I also tried to reduce her bath time as its making her skin dry and also avoid tight clothes. Just work around on what soap she can use because even if it said its for sensitive skin it still makes my todler have eczema flare up she is using Aveeno at the moment. Hope your baby feels better soon
