Exclusive Breastfeeding

Hey ladies!! just had my newborn baby 1/19 at 41 weeks induction! Had an emergency C section but me and baby are healthy and here🙌🏾 So my question is anyone exclusively breastfeeding?? If so how often are you pumping to be able to start a supply?

My son was born 1/6 and was in the NICU for 4 days. I started pumping about 12 hours post labor and got my supply in the within the first 3 days. I pump every 3 hours so 8 times a day

I exclusively breastfeed. Gave birth 1/4 via C-section due to breech baby and I don’t pump but use a haaka on opposite boobie to have a little freezer stash and extra milk for when I’m not there!

I think I started pumping 4 or 5 days pp when I noticed an increase in my milk. Since baby was born, I latched my baby whenever I had to feed her and whenever she was hungry.

I am an exclusive breastfeeding mama! My son weaned at 2.5 during this pregnancy and my daugher is 3 weeks old today! It is not recommended to pump in the first 6 weeks due to risk of an oversupply which can lead to mastitis/clogged ducts! Latching baby as often as possible will help your supply! Using a haakaa on the opposite breast while nursing can collect milk, ab an oz at a time! Congratulations! PS - With my son, I was also induced which led to an emergency c-section at 41+1. It was such a traumatic experience. I hope you're doing okay! 🤍

My baby was born on 1/11 so she’s almost 2 weeks.. I exclusively feed at breast & also use a haakaa while feeding to collect extra milk. I plan on waiting a couple more weeks before pumping just bc im not mentally ready to keep up with a feeding & pumping schedule just yet & Im trying to give baby time before increasing my supply so its not too much on her..

My baby was born via emergency c-section on 12/30. We needed formula the first week until my milk came in, but I’m exclusively breastfeeding now and I’m pumping just once a day in the early morning after nursing. It gives me about 3oz to use for “topping off” nursing sessions when he’s sleepy. I read somewhere to focus on feeding the baby, not the freezer — that feels right to me. I’ll worry about a “stash” in a couple months.
