Toddler pretending to hurt himself

My little boy has started to really develop a sense of humour where he does things on purpose to be funny (it’s the best thing ever - that little smile!) but, when he hurts himself, let’s say he falls over and bumps his head, he will be truly hurt and upset and then when he’s over it he’ll act it out and do it again and laugh or will say ‘ow’ again. Today he was gagging on some crumpet and after he spat it out he pulled the same gagging face again but wasn’t actually gagging and then laughed! This is what concerned me. Is this normal? 😩

Yes!!!!

My LG pretended to fall the other day, the slowest drop to her knees I’ve ever seen, she then put her hand over her mouth, said “uh oh” and then proceeded to “cry”… very comical 😂

Yes, last week my little one was practicing crying. She would cry a few seconds then stop, then cry a few more seconds then stop and carry on as normal 😂 she's not a whingy toddler and doesn't do things for attention yet so it must be a phase x

Yes my little ones always doing this he does a very dramatic fall to his knees on3 hand in the air rolls over and rubs his head and pretends to cry and will shout for a reaction starts laughing and repeats untill he gets bored or he'll bang his head slowly on the wall . 🤣 🤣
