when do I stop?
Just looking for abit of advice
My EBF baby is now 5 months, 1 tooth has cut through, he doesn’t ‘bite’ me but since the last few days I can feel the tooth while feeding.. theres no way I could even make him understand right now that feeding him is uncomfortable and make him not do it, like I know people unlatch the baby when they bite etc, he’s not biting but I’m not even sure why it feels the way it does.. I think the tooth is sharp? This is normal….
You stop whenever it is right for you - if you're uncomfortable and want to stop that's valid, if you want to try to push through whilst he adjusts his latch to accommodate the new teeth then that's also fine. My baby cut his 2 bottom teeth really early when he'd just turned 4 months. He's bitten me a few times and I've just stopped the feed there and then. I've been under so much pressure from family to stop feeding now and switch to bottles but I'm personally determined to make it at least 6 months as I had a really hard time feeding my first and ended up combi feeding from day 2 and swapping solely to formula at 4 months. Obviously however you feed your baby is fine, that's just my personal preference 😊
