I am a people pleaser for the most part but then I have to remember that I am my children’s advocate. My babies can’t communicate to what’s appropriate or acceptable or not
Yep what @Bailey said! Fortunate to have my partner who steps up and implements anything I’m too shy to say!
My husband & I are both people pleasers who come from families that just love to sweep everything under the rug.....we have to be intentional. Setting the boundary asap (some we set before our baby was even born) and sticking to it. We've given 2 warnings then "if you can't respect our boundaries as parents, we're not going to let you be able to do xyz" for us, people not kissing our son was the biggest thing
Luckily enough I have a husband that sets and maintains boundaries really well. So we just discussed what are expected beforehand and he takes care of setting the rules!
