Struggling with baby sleeping in bassinet

I have been bed sharing with my baby since he was 3 weeks old. Never was the plan but exhaustion got the best of me. Now 4 months old and will not sleep in the bassinet. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

We struggled to get our little to sleep in his bassinet at first too. We started to snuggle to sleep, warm the bassinet with a heating pad or warm towel from the dryer (obviously remove before putting baby in!), swaddle (we're now 1 arm out at 3 mos), & white noise. He sleeps like a champ in his bassinet now. You just have to get him used to it. The first week or so might have a lot of wake ups but it's important to keep the routine up so that they learn that the bassinet is a safe place for them.

Same . But tried the white noise in there . But the problem is he will not sleep as long as he need to. He sleep in there but it would be for like 5-15 minutes.

Tonight that’s what he’s doing 15 minutes max

My first baby HATED the bassinet. Moved her to her crib and she slept through the whole night. Must of been more comfortable lol

@Marla what age did you transfer your baby to the crib?

She was a little over 2 months when we finally did it

@Marla Thank you so much my son took a nap in his crib for almost 2 hours

Awesome!! I think the thin bassinet pads are just not good enough for some babies.

Try a heating pad to warm the bassinet before laying him down. Make sure you put butt/legs down before head so as not to trigger startle reflex. We actually would put baby down on side and gentle roll to her back because it was easier to not trigger reflex.
