Pram confusion

Can’t decide what to pram to get! too many options!! I’m looking for something not too bulky so it can go on public transport, and something that is able to go on different terrains! I do like the nuna mixx but still so unsure! Let me know if there are any good prams that you would recommend, thank you 💕

Oh man I don’t think I can help, we have two and they’re polar opposites…Uppababy Vista for terrain/big basket etc. but Yoyo for nipping around/into central/underground. Am sure there’s a middle ground somewhere! Go John Lewis and physically lift them and manoeuvre them. If you have a car Bababoom in Loughton are super helpful too

I was so confused buying one. But I can say now that my son is 3: dont bother with a massive pram like the Vista or the Nuna mixx. I would go straight to Yoyo. Really, they are so bulky and too high off the ground. Once they hit 1.5 they will a prefer lighter pram and will want to get in themselves. Also, yoyo is easier for travelling etc.

I know someone with the Joolz Aer+ which isn’t bulky at all, has more under pram space & also have better resistance to some terrains. I have the Babyzen Yoyo which is great for transport but not the best to some terrains.

Joolz aer+ is my love. Easy one hand fold. Good on pavements and parks terrains. I can’t imagine walks up mountains would be good on it if you’re adventurous 😋 But I’m glad I got it as it will last for a very long time and be a holiday pram. Much sturdier than the yoyo

Only thing I can say is I wouldn’t recommend the lighter prams for a newborn they are not weather proof enough. I would recommend a good sturdy travel system, I had the mamas and papas occaro which I absolutely love but it’s definitely bulky and the one time I tried to get the bus I had to use the back doors! The nuna looks lovely x

We’ve got the nuna next and love it. Can get it on the bus, it breaks apart into 2 to put in a car. Good on streets and parks. I defo recommend.

Nuna triv next

@Cristina We live on the edge of the forest so the Vista is absolutely brilliant! No regrets at all. But yeah it’s big 😅 but I like it being higher, the yoyo bassinet feels SO low you feel so far away from baby

We have the Joolz aer+ and it’s a dream in terrain due to amazing suspension! It’s a great pram and you can buy the carrycot to clip in. I always feel so smug using public transport because it’s like parking smart car 😂 the best buggy I tried and tested. Love it and so does baby. It only weighs 6kg so I can carry it up and down the tube stairs so easily and also cabin ✈️ approved with a shoulder strap. Can be folded with one hand for when carrying baby.

I have the Nuna Triv and recommend it. It’s lightweight for getting around & I can push it down the bus. I haven’t tried it on different terrains but good for everyday.

The yoyo buggy is quite good, it’s light weight and compact

We had similar requirements and ended up choosing the Bugaboo Dragonfly after doing extensive comparisons. We haven’t started using it yet since the baby hasn’t arrived.

Second the Joolz Aer+ from birth with the bassinet for London. I was on and off trains and buses all by myself because worse cade scenario is was light enough for me to lift the whole thing! Plus for travel we switched it to front facing and have been able to keep it with us on all planes!

We love our Joolz Aer so good for public transport/coffee shops/small shops etc. and folding is super easy. Felt a bit more sturdy than the yoyo especially the bassinet for us, so we went for that. It’s not so good over bumpy terrain but does ok with cobblestones/gravel etc

I have the mamasandpapas strada and I love it. It's not bulky and easy to take on buses and underground

Bugaboo dragonfly I’m actually so impressed with. I rented it while my pram was being fixed and it’s affordable, so smooth, good on different terrains and you can get the carry cot for when baby is newborn. Fold is also very compact for a full pram x

Thank you for all the recommendations 💕💕

I have the Joolz Aer (the first model), and I regret choosing it when my little one was a baby. The basket space is very limited, and it often gets stuck on even the slightest bump on the sidewalk. Additionally, the straps in the toddler seat are quite frustrating. However, I did start to appreciate it more as my little one got bigger. It became very easy to carry and maneuver. I’ve also noticed that Joolz has updated many of the features I didn’t like in the new version.
