Weaning help me!?

So we are weaning and have been for about a month now.. I know yoh should do the one good ever two days and then change! But I’m finding it hard to know when to progress. Baby is having like three “meals” three ice cubes each time of either fruit or veg. Also just tried mince. But I feel like when do you do more and stop doing the one new food every two days… surely this will go on forever 😅

You don't need to do one food every 2 days, you can literally just try different things. I'm assuming you are doing purees (from the "ice cube") you can puree your foods now. My advice would be to do the allergens and move to giving baby things with more flavour, preferably what you're eating without salt mashed up. If you can brave it, move away from purees and start giving finger foods, I appreciate this gives some anxiety.

I'd consider not doing three "meals" a day. My son is only eating once a day at the moment and I don't expect him to be eating three times until about 10/11 months. X

You can give new food everyday but 1 allergen a week 🙂

I went to a weaning class led by a qualified nutritionist and she said you only need to try allergens preferably in the morning and offer the same allergen three days in row (to make sure they aren’t allergic) .. you can offer other ‘non-allergen’ foods alongside this as well I.e when I did peanuts I did peanut butter on toast in the morning for three days ! He was still getting fruit alongside this (as I’d already given this to him previously & know he loves it) .. I also agree three times a day at this stage isn’t needed !! This nutritionist said you can’t do one food each day as it would take centuries to get on to all foods !! We’ve only just gone onto two meals a day in this last week and dinner isn’t a big deal it’s just slightly less puréed food, so a little more chunky with some finger food like cucumbers ! Xx

Thank you everyone for your help! I think I’m gonna do eggs over the weekend scrambled anyone tried this yet? And if so, how did you make it? And I’m gonna carry on with fruit and veg just go shopping today. I need to think of some new fruit and veg ideas. We do it three times a day just because he enjoys it sometimes I need to do two ice cubes per meal though.

Bake omlete like panacake and then cut in finger sized strips for baby to hold 🙂 you can dowload solid starts app, i check there everything how to safely serve 🙂
