Short girls and driving

Just passed my driving test recently and I've bought a car. I'm just wondering am I over thinking being a bit short in the car and feeling like I should be seeing more of the ground level (through windscreen) or is it in my head?? I'm 5'3. I guess I just feel I should have a bit more view, feel a bit dug in in my seat 😂 Short girls, can I have your input on this please. Have any of you thought the same? It's not like I'm uncomfortable in the seat just feel like I should be raised up a bit for a better (wider) view. I don't know maybe I'm just being paranoid 😂

They make cars with seats that can be raised and lowered. Most I think do. Check when you get a car

I'm also 5'3. You don't need to be able to see the ground directly in front of your car. Obviously you see the road you're about to drive on. I drive a mini so I'm used to not seeing much in general. If you drive a 4x4 you'll be able to see the world though!

I'm 4'9. I literally use a booster seat while driving

I’m 5’2 and just raise my seat 🤷🏼‍♀️ My first car had adjustable pedals which was awesome 😎 I drive a pick up truck and a sedan

You should be able to see the end of your bonnet. Seats usually have a lever that raises it. I’m 5’1 and mines raised to the highest level

I’m 5’2 and drive a Mazda that has adjustable seats

I have a mechanical seat that you can adjust it upwards if needed. I’m 5’1.

I’m 5”1. I drive a Lexus SUV that the drivers seat is currently on its highest level lol it has personal options for each driver so if Hubby ever drives (rarely, he has his own car) he presses #2 and it auto adjusts (the rear mirrors, seats- up and down, back or forth) to his setting. When I drove my low sports car I couldn’t see over the dash so I used a car seat cover w a booster under it (that car didn’t have electric up-down seat option)

@Char it has 2 levers. One to push seat back/forth and the other to adjust the backrest back & forth. I wish I could raise it

I drive a Honda pilot (SUV) and am 5’2 I am comfortable in it, it just took time to get used to. I have the seat high up and slightly forward

I’m 5ft1 drive a Ford focus. And I have my seat all the way up and all but two clicks from the steering wheel. I look like I’m trying to lick windows!!! It’s the same with my husbands car he has an antara. His is massive compared to mine and having the seat where I need it means my legs touch the bottom of the dash board. Because of how close I sit it means when I get to 6 months pregnant (happened in last pregnancy and now this one) I have to stop driving because if I move the seat back I’m not comfortable on the pedals but if I don’t and an accident happens my belly’s taking the full impact as it’s too close
