Not responding to name
My son doesn’t answer his name, when we put him in his cot and call him he will look as we say where are you? and call him but he thinks it’s a game otherwise he doesn’t really respond at all. I mentioned this to the health visitor and she just told me he’s very young still (14.5 months) I know this can be linked to autism so I’m a bit worried. Anyone else’s little ones the same?

Sorry I mean he doesn’t look, only sometimes. Most of the time he is distracted by something else x
My son picks and chooses when to answer to his name or not. Most the time he looks at me and gives me this look as in today "woman what do you want, can't you see I'm busy with my toys" 😂
Apparently they are not expected to answer/look up if you are close to them or they are busy. How about from across the room?

How do you mean answer? My little one looks and will usually come into the room if I call her (but not always if something is more interesting 😂) but she doesn't respond x
