Child care for emergencies
If you have no family nearby, how do you go about finding a nanny for emergencies and/or sporadic needs? I have seen ads from agencies but am finding it hard to trust them.

I'm in the same boat. No family or friends nearby and it's only me & my husband. My friends live in other cities/countries. It's so frustrating during emergencies, I bring my baby with me no matter what. I'm hoping I meet another parent in the same position at a play group and we can help each other out. But it's still nerve wracking.

I'm going to be honest. I don't. I use family or friends. There isn't much family near me so when it's been that bad I've just had to be home with the kids through whatever reason. If it was a full emergency a friend has helped here or there
