Need advice about nusery - UK, London

Hi mums, my toddler just finished his first week at nursery, and I’m feeling a bit unsure about how things are going. I haven’t received much info on how he’s settling in, and I thought there would be more updates, especially in the first week. I’m also unclear about how they’re handling his meals—I mentioned he needs help eating, but it seems like he’s not eating any food. On the last day, he was really unsettled and cried all the way home. I’m not sure what he’s been up to during the day and would love any advice from those who have been through this. Don’t want to come across too much because I know I worry quick but I feel unsure.

I think depend on the nurses but we did received a lot of update the first week then the update start reducing Now we receive one a day about what this did during the day and some picture And the meals what she eat how much she eat how long she slept … She has been going for three weeks .. So I would speak to them for sure.. he might have cried because he got tired or he misses you My Lg cried to the first week

Speak to them and come across how you feel honestly. You are paying a lot of money, you need to be content with what you are getting

They should be telling you about his meals, either through an app or at pick up They should definitely be telling you about his day at pick up

Yeah this isn’t right we got loads of pictures the first couple of weeks and now on the app we get updates on what he’s eaten, any bowel movements and naps and always get a debrief when I pick him up, bless your boy I know it’s hard mumma I still struggle 6 months in! They would definitely support him with eating, at my sons nursery they all sit around a table together, the younger ones have clippy seats on their chairs and get more support with their food (though my son is so greedy and stubborn he doesn’t let anyone help him despite being the youngest!) definitely ask for daily details about his food if nothing else, it does sound like the nursery is behind the times though if they’re not doing these things!
