As above it’s likely a comfort thing more than a need for feeding. My little one is just 4 months and I can tell when it switches to comfort suckling and switch out to a dummy if I need to. As I hear a lot, it isn’t a problem until it’s a problem for you!
Completely normal! At the hospital the lactation specialist said if it didn’t bother me, it was fine. Now, I will sometimes get a second let down, so just make sure you aren’t accidentally water boarding your little one lol! When they do finally release it might be a mess…
Still feeding to sleep here! I’d say it’s completely normal. I let my LO suckle as long as she wants (if I’m not too tired) and sometimes she’ll get off when she’s done
It's completely normal! My daughter has always done this. They will suckle for comfort, not just feeding, so even when she has stopped feeding, she will still suckle afterwards. It can be difficult to know when feeding suckling stops and comfort suckling begins, but the longer you do it, the more you will recognise the difference. I try to take my daughter off sometimes, but she will also wake and seek the nipple again straight away. Your baby will feel most comfortable and safest whilst suckling on you. ☺️
