Thanks so much @Rebecca, really appreciate that advice - will check it out 😀 xx
We just bought a Joie iharbour 0-4 years and fits on 360 base we bought with our snug x also comes off the base for moving between cars more easily x
@Claudia remember car seats don't go by age they go by height and weight
@Claudia no it's not an age limit. It's a weight and height limit. So "age 4" is only for the average centile 4 year old. My son would only get to 2 in it because he's 91st for weight and height! If your child was at the other end of the spectrum and only 10th centile for weight and height they could stay in it a lot longer than 4 So ignore the age guidance, it is only guidance. the weight and height limits are what you need to go by Also looks like your child is 5 months? Unlikely to be too tall for an infant carrier.
@Claudia again you're saying 0-12 month but it's best not to talk about ages at all as no car seats are rated by age, only weight and height. It's not a problem to change seats now but it's very unlikely she's outgrown the infant carrier by length already unless she's very tall. Like above 98th centile. So you could still use it as a spare or in another car
@Claudia she must be very tall then as that puts her above the 99.6th centile. I don't want anyone to go by age when deciding when to move seats, that's my whole point 😂
@Claudia no I don't need proof, I haven't said I don't believe you. I just wanted to point out to OP that the seat you mentioned might not last very long if on higher centiles, and not to fall for the marketing of "0-4" as there is no age limit, only height and weight.
@Claudia I feel like you just misunderstood my first comment to you and took it as a personal attack. It's not. Just making sure the op has the information. Sorry if you felt like it was.
It depends on what you want, extended rear facing is best for as long as possible and "R129" is the latest safety standard they need to pass. If your baby is on the higher centiles for height and weight bear in mind they might outgrow a 0-4years seat before age 4 for example Axkid is usually highly recommended for safety and they're all Swedish plus tested which is like extra safety testing that's not essential but very reassuring. Saying all that I've recently moved my LO out of her joie snug infant carrier into a graco turn2me. It's R129 and one of the seats you can spin to face you for getting them in and out x
