@Danielle yes that's my plan as I had people do the same when we were in the tredges of infertility. Just not sure best way to word. It hard as I had unexplained other than PCO whereas she does have male factor so knows for certain could never happen naturally. Xx
@Danielle also congrats on your pregnancy. 🥰
You probably don’t need to go into all the detail about it happening naturally. I would keep it quite brief saying you’re pregnant and how you know it will be hard for her to hear this and you’ll give her time to process. It’s gut wrenching to hear. I still get triggered by announcements now and I’m on my second.
My friend suffered a few loses. So I messaged her that I was pregnant. And also said to her that she wasn’t obliged to reply and if she needed space then to please take it.
I could have written this myself! Also in the same predicament! We tried for our 2nd for 6 years with unexplained secondary infertility and a miscarriage. Ended up needing ivf and I’m so glad that worked first time and gave us our daughter. We were complete and that chapter of our life was closed until I found out recently I’m pregnant with no3 naturally as a complete shock! There’s a few in our group that have been trying to concieve a sibling for the last few years with no luck and it makes me sick having to tell them and I have no idea how to word it xx
@Lucy it really is hard and the thing is we know how it feels as been that side too. I just kept it short and simple. But expressed I know it can e triggering and hard so will follow their wants or needs. Only one family member has been super bitter about it. X
Over a message so they can process it. Fellow IVF mum here.
