Choking event

Please don't judge me on this. I'm a nervous wreck as it is. My lg had a packet of crisps (veggie sticks for 9 months onwards ) which I stayed in the room while she ate them. I thought she had finished as she gave me an empty packet, I didn't see that one had dropped into highchair. So I went upstairs to grab a bag of washing, next thing I heard my 5 yr old call me saying something wrong with lg, so rushed down stairs and if she did choke she brought it back up, there was a little bit on the highchair that looked like it had been eaten up and a small hard piece. She's acting her normal self and wasn't red in the face. So not sure 100% if she choked or not. Lesson learned: make sure the highchair is clear once she's finished

This kind of thing will happen to us all at some point x please don't feel guilty or stress about it x my little girl grabbed a piece of parsley out the garden in the summer and full on choked on that, she coughed it back up when we tipped her upside down but it was so scary. I'm always checking her hands now to see what she might have yoinked but sometimes I think these things are kind of a warning to let us know about the potential risk xx if she's okay now I wouldn't worry xx

Oh no I'm sorry to hear you've been through a choking event, it is scary luckily I am trained in child first aid but you don't think it's going to happen to your kids. She's absolutely fine, was walking with her walker around and happy screaming so can't be much wrong x

Glad she's okay, these things happen x your 5 year old needs a good big sibling sticker for looking out for your little girl and knowing to shout you x they are very clever x
