Join extended rear facing car seat safety group on Facebook. They are car seat experts and are amazing with car seat advice. They also sell car seats as well and will give you help with baby's fit in the car seat when they are here. The general advice though is to get an infant carrier for when they are little and then buy an extended rear facing seat when they outgrow that. They recommend a few different infant carriers such as the avionaut pixel pro or maxi fix cabrio which is more budget friendly. Defo join the Facebook group though and you can ask on there! :) xx
I went with cybex anton B2, due in April so not used yet myself but looks good and sturdy and cybex in general seems to have a good name xx
I have the maxi cozi 360 swivel chair Loving it so far. Baby is now 11 months
Cybex cloud T with the base ( it’s cause I have one) when I went Mamas and papas even John Lewis they said it was the best car seat xx
Cybex Cloud T, maxi cosi pebble 360, Cybex Cloud G PS don't join that car seat group on FB save yourself the stress and abuse x
Also got the cybex cloud T, and we've got the adaptors to use it with the flip xt3 travel system from mamas and papas. We're really happy with both. Safe and secure, but not too heavy that I can't manage them - I've got some issues with my wrists/strength, so if I can manage them, then most can!
The best bet for a newborn is an infant carrier. Some ERF seats (BeSafe Stretch B, BeSafe iZi Twist/Turn B, Avionaut Sky, Axkid One+) give a good fit for most newborns but not if LO ends up being smaller than average. I really like the BeSafe Go Beyond, it has a swivel base (which is really handy if you're getting LO in/out of the seat in the car, e.g. when transferring LO to the pram) and it has a lie flat function to help protect LO's airways but automatically sits upright in an accident for better protection (this is unique, no other lie-flat seat does this). Other good brands to look at are Britax, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, Avionaut (the Pixel Pro gets very good reviews) and Axkid
I would join Car Seat Safety UK. They can best advice and take into account car, budget, height and weight of baby ect. I believe the best infant carrier currently is the avionaut sky/cosmo xx
Thank you all x
Joie is really good they do a travel system which includes a lie flat carry cot which is excellent

If you are considering extended rear facing then getting one more expensive seat works out more cost efficient and environmentally friendly than lots of single stage seats.
