Constant Bowel Movements

Has anybody else got a baby that just will not stop pooing since weaning? My daughter turned 6 months old a week ago and for the past 3 days, she’s done 5 poos a day (15 poos in 3 days). Surely this is very excessive?? Every nappy change is poo and I’m absolutely sick of it😭 Her bum is now so, very sore and no nappy creams are easing the rash at all(I’ve tried 2 creams so far)! So she screams with pain every time I change her😭 These are all healthy looking poos too! She’s a very hungry girl and has taken to food so well but I feel like maybe I could be feeding her too much, hence why she’s having constant bowel movements. She’s still having 4 bottles everyday, 6oz each as I know that milk is their main source of nutrition. Should I call somebody about this as it’s very excessive and the rash isn’t getting better at all?

We started weaning on Sunday and my daughter is the same. I dont know where it all comes from! Her bum looks sore but it isn't bothering her yet 😬

@Samantha I hope your baby’s weaning journey goes well!🫶🏼

You could try checking with your health visitor? I suppose the rash can’t get better because she keeps pooing again maybe. I hope you find some answers!

Hi what are you feeding her day to day xx

@Becky I don’t know why I didn’t think about that!😅 Yes exactly! That’s why I’m finding it so frustrating😩 Thank you🫶🏼

@Erin I give her purée pouches for the moment. I gave her vegetables first and now I’m trying fruits. At dinner time, she’s been polishing them so I decided to give her a bit more, but I think that’s where I’m making a mistake and feeding her too much😩 Maybe I should try a few snacks throughout the day instead? She doesn’t have teeth and she’s still not teething, so I’m scared of her choking😅xx
