I don’t use the hot shot method , I pour her powder in to the rapid cool, then use her bottle to measure the correct amount of boiling water needed and then pour this into the rapid cool put lid on and shake then wait for it to go green x
You stick with 30ml the whole time you never increase the hot shot.. my boys on 8oz he still has a 30ml hot shot x
@Claire you should never add water to powder always powder to water x
Just eyeball the hot shot it doesn’t have to be perfect you just learn where 30ml roughly is x
@Elena how old is your lo ? Mine is on 6oz and is 12 weeks
I always did 1/3 of the feed as the hot shot. You need enough water to completely dissolve the powder, if you increase the powder amount but never the water amount it will end up not being enough water to dissolve it properly.
@Afshan 9 months he’s on 2 8oz feeds x
@N 💞 this is also what crossed my mind. It seemed ok for the 5 scoops/ 5oz but surely there’s a point where the powder is more than the water. Sounds to me as long as it’s at least 30ml just do whatever 😂
@Claire I’m too lazy to sterilise it after every use! Hahaha xx
You always use the 30ml hot shot so I’ve been told. Never increase the hot shot. Just keep 30ml in the bottle and the rest goes in the nuby rapid cool x
@Elena what’s the difference?
@Danielle i don’t sterilise the rapid cool , i just wash it with hot soapy water and rinse well x
@Claire also anything formula touches needs sterilising as it contains bacteria so if you’re not using the hot shot method then you need to sterilise your rapid cool x
@Elena thanks
My little boy is 11 months now and we’ve always done the hot shot method for him. He has 8oz now and I still just use about 30ml hot shot ☺️ To be honest at this stage I just pour a bit in the bottom of his bottle without measuring and go with it🤣 but it is about 30ml ish x
