Those that have done the oh crap potty training method….help pls 🚽🤪

We’re on day 3. She’s done 2 poo’s in the potty really easy. She tells me when she needs a poo anyway, has done for a while, so this doesn’t surprise me. The issue is, when she’s weeing she’s just freezing on the spot, (so weeing on the floor) still doing this on day 3 - just this morning. I’m having to pick her up mid wee to get the rest in potty. I’ve told her we don’t want wee on the floor (never aggressive or scolding - she’s not upset by weeing on the floor), told her we want the wee in the potty and celebrate the bit that’s gone in. She understands as she’s telling me wee goes in the potty, not the floor. I’ve also told her when she feels the need to wee, to get to the potty as we want wee in the potty….but I feel a bit anxious about moving to block 2 tomorrow with pants on and a small outing as I just don’t think she’ll tell me she needs to go and I’m worried it’s going to end in tears/set her back…but I can’t keep her in for another day naked. 3 days is enough! We did see progress yesterday as she did get 3 full wee’s in the potty, but only when I’ve got the timings right and led her to the potty to wee. The issue is she’s not heading the potty when she feels the wee, she’s freezing on the spot then I scoop her the potty to get the rest in. So I guess she’s stuck in the ‘I’m weeing stage’ and not getting to the last stage of ‘I need a wee’. Any advice would be most welcome pls 🤡🤪🤡🤪🤡🤪

I wouldn’t put pants on her yet- I’d keep going with block 1. You could just put a dress on her and keep her commando or in loose trousers, but as you say she hasn’t got to ‘I need to wee’ stage yet.. just keep going with reinforcing it… alternatively you could do a reset and go back to it in 2 weeks?

Hi! It took my son about 2 weeks to start weeing consistently on the potty. I stressed out too at day 3 when he still wasnt weeing in the potty. Just keep prompting and reminding her wee goes in the potty! She’ll get there!

Thanks everyone 🩷 she actually only had 2 accidents yesterday. The other wees and a poo were on the potty. AND just this morning she mentioned her potty when we had a morning snuggle and I rushed her downstairs and she did her big morning wee in the potty 🥺 she even held it whilst I took her nappy/pants off quickly. Got all the wee on the potty. I think her mentioning the ‘white potty downsides’ was her way of telling me 😭😭😭😭🤞🏼🚽 she’s a superstar 💫 today, day 4 - I’m going to flit between block 1 and 2. When she’s had a big wee after her morning snack and afternoon snack, I’m going to take her for a short walk, maybe 20 mins. Then get back and get naked from waist down. When we go out I’ll just put loose pants on her and hope she gets on okay 🤞🏼 potty training isn’t for the faint hearted but she’s doing amazing! So willing and eager to learn and truly doing so well 🥺 so proud of her and she is too, her little face when she does her business in the potty 🥺 she’s obsessed with poo mind 😂

Update 🚽💫🥰 my little superstar has done all 7 wees on the potty today! No accidents! She’s also been out twice with no nappies today - 30 mins on her bike and 30 mins in the garden 😭🥰💫 pants no knickers! Day 4! She actually did one wee where she said ‘oh I know’ then ran to the potty and wee’d. So she obviously felt it and headed the potty 😭😭😭😭 obviously it’s very early days and going to take the next week slow, just short outings after a wee and get pants on in the house too…but oh my gosh! I’m so proud of her 🥰 and me, cos it’s been intense 😂 such a big milestone for our sept babas 🥺🥺🥺 x
