Try serving different veggies in different ways now that she's older. I used to give the kids steamed carrots, now they like them raw/crunchy. Try serving frozen peas and frozen corn still frozen, she will like that it's cold. Try baking things you used to steam and add salt or seasoning. Give her soy sauce or ranch to dip, but only when she gets vegetables. Around 3, I realized I never tried giving my daughter cucumbers and found out she liked them a lot. Toddlers go through picky phases, keep serving veggies even if she doesn't eat them so they stay "normal" to her. I also think it helps to have times when you're out or busy and just say 'this is the food we have right now, take it or leave it'. If they are hungry, they will often consider eating foods they wouldn't when sitting down for a regular meal.
Thank you so much for your advice!! Really appreciate it xx
Sometimes I find my daughter eats better when she's gone shopping with me and picked out some things. We definitely buy our share of junk food when we shop together but she's also grabbing at the fruits and vegetables. She likes broccoli but not over cooked, corn on the cob and raw carrots.
Let them up at the counter and get involved with prep/chopping. My daughter ‘helped’ with dinner the other night and ate a mini cucumber, half a salad tomato, and tried pepper garlic and raw onion while she helped me chop it.
Brilliant! Thank you! Didn’t think of doing these! Hopefully something sticks 🤞🏽
